Mount Sinai Baptist Church is a bible based, spirit filled, prayer
saturated congregation located in N.W. Washington D.C.
HISTORY
Mount Sinai Baptist Church was organized in 1910 by Reverend Lewis M. Stevens and a small
band of faithful worshipers at the home of Mrs. Julia McGruder on Q Street, NW Washington
DC. Early on the church moved to two locations on New Jersey Avenue, NW, 1133 and 919.
One more move landed Mount Sinai at 1615 Third Street, NW and three edifices later we still
remain at the corner of Third and Q streets, NW Washington, DC. read more
